We’ve got a plan to become financially independent, retire early, and go on an epic family adventure.

We’d love to invite you along as we do all the work to get ready for our year-long journey on America’s Great Loop. We want to show you what’s possible and how we’ve become fortunate enough to be able to pull this off.

This one may make you cry. It is bittersweet that our grand adventure has come to an end. We've played this sea shanty many a time along our 14-month, 7,100 mile journey as we've pulled in and safely tied to dock. Sadly, today it's for the last time. ABOUT THE SHANTY: Originally written in approximately 1980 by Ian Woods and recorded and released in 1982 by he and Charley Yarwood. This recorded cover by The Wellermen & The Longest Johns is the only freely available version of the song. The few bucks we may make on this video is for them. One More Pull tells the story of a Sailor returning from a long voyage at sea hoping to see his lover again once ashore. The song describes the sailor’s anxiousness to see if his lover remained true to him, and is sung from the perspective of his crewmates. It's a fitting way to end our journey. ONE MORE PULL It's been a long time since you've seen her Could have been three years or more Will she be waiting when we dock, boys Or like others will she be gone? I’m Seth (Dad) Adventurer, Saver, Nerd, INTJ, Enneagram 5. I’ve been a chemical engineer for 22 years but if I’m honest, I lost the passion for it a few years ago after beating cancer. I’m a boat captain and started a boat tour company as a side hustle passion project 8 years ago.

Jennifer

Pretty much awesome

I’m Jennifer (Mom) Supporter, Spender, ENFP, Enneagram 2 wing1. I’m also a chemical engineer but I left that profession 13 years ago to stay at home and raise our children. Six years ago I started homeschooling them. What’s your super power?

Madeleine

Artist

I’m Madeleine. Visual artist, introspective, and a voracious reader. What I’m most excited for on the Great Loop is spending time with my family and my own thoughts.

Mason

Master of disguises

I’m Mason. Performing artist, extrovert, fearless with a sensitive heart for animals. What I'm most excited about on the Great Loop is going to all those places. It will be fun; but there will be danger.

Bella

Boat Dog, Neurotic Mooch, Alligator snack.

I'm Bella. I’ve been voted most likely to be eaten by an alligator on the Great Loop. You’ll most often find me on someone’s lap. Hey, it’s what I was bred to do! I’m a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. I like boat adventures because my family is all in one place. I get a little freaked when that’s not the case.
