Welcome to a new feature here. One of the biggest questions we get about our Great Loop adventure is “What boat are you going to use?” We currently own 3 different boats: two antiques and a cabin cruiser that is just too small (and not to mention it’s in Portland, Oregon which is nowhere near the Great Loop).
We need to go yacht shopping! I love looking at boat listings for old boats. Mrs. onFIREfamily maybe not so much but her input is insanely valuable. That’s why we thought it would be fun to have a good time with this and once a week, review a loop-capable boat listing over a couple beers and share the video with you!
This week we look at a 1989 Tollycraft 44 CPMY in Florida. Tolly’s are great boats (we’ve owned three) so this one definitely makes our list of makes and models we are shopping for to do the great loop.
